Foundations in Accounting

ACCA has a suite of entry level qualifications - collectively referred to as Foundations in Accountancy - designed to prepare those wishing to pursue a career in finance or to provide recognition and reward for people working in accounting support roles.

Foundations in Accountancy consists of a suite of awards, including certificates, diplomas and a revised Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification. These flexible awards focus on the core skills of financial accounting and management accounting, and the wider role of the accountant in business at higher levels. The range of awards means that students and employers can pick the level of qualification which most appropriately meets their needs. For example, not everyone needs or wants to be qualified to professional status and instead want core basic accounting skills. The Introductory Certificate in Accounting and Business may meet their training needs in a tailored, cost-effective way.

Chartered Association of Accounting Technicians (ACCA)

The ACCA Qualification is designed to provide the accounting knowledge, skills and professional values which will deliver finance professionals who are capable of building successful careers across all sectors, whether they are working in the public or private sectors, practising in accounting firms, or pursuing a career in business.
