 Miguel has 23 years experience in offshore investment management and finance. He spent 13 years as a stock broker based in Jersey, specialising in fixed income and currency markets during which time he qualified as an investment professional and studied at the London Business School. During this period of his career he spent time in London, Paris and New York involved in different aspects of fixed income market activities. He was then invited to develop a capital markets business for the Royal Bank of Scotland International and after a successful three years went on to become managing director of Sigma Asset Management in Guernsey, where he was responsible for managing US$2bn of hedge fund of funds. Always one for developing his knowledge and skills, during this time, Miguel gained the IoD diploma in company direction. He then went on to executive leadership roles with Barclays Wealth ad UBS Ag before taking a career break to study for an MBA which he will complete by the end of 2010.

Spare Time Interests

 When not off piste skiing and ski touring, Miguel spends a lot of time keeping fit for his skiing. Otherwise, travel, family and friends take up much of his spare time and he likes to discuss and debate the issues of the day, that is, when he is not working on a MBA assignment!
